- Sarah OelkerBackerSO excited to hear of crowdfunded research on this topic. In the regions where hydraulic fracturing is done, even if a landowner does not sign on to have drilling extend under their property, they cannot stop their neighbors from signing, and many landowners desperately need the funds that drilling leases and pipeline right-of-way leases bring. It's truly a damned if you do, damned if you don't situation for struggling rural residents. This research can net us valuable information to improve their lives!Mar 03, 20140
