The Paraguay Health Declaration provides comprehensive guidelines on how the nation can improve health care for the citizens. One of these is the establishment of a National Health Mission. Before, the mission was made up of a small team that worked closely with the different departments of the health administration in order to provide better health care services. The mission is still operational, but the number of members has been reduced to decrease overlap in services among different government agencies and organizations. The decreased size of the group provides a more manageable and more operational health agency structure.
