Science and technology advance as much via teaching, diffusion of ideas, as by discovery. I propose to create specimens of plutonium via alpha-spectroscopic assay of uranium ore, followed by packaging of small quantities of that ore within durable containers. These specimens could be put to use as teaching aids (with "teaching" to be interpreted as broadly as possible).
