Large bio-dome experiments have been abandoned and amateur experiments show that, in an environment (that remains sealed) stability can occasionally be achieved. By first, designing “seemingly” stable conditions (cyclical light /warmth, having complexity) and allowing it to find homeostatic equilibrium on its own. Can it be accelerated? Scaled up? Applied in space?
