While in the field, we will also need to measure how sticky each species of gecko is. The measurement we record is the "Angle of Toe Detachment" which is a measurement of the relevant maximum ratio of friction and adhesion (negative normal force) a gecko can generate. To record this measurement, we use a specially designed piece of field equipment that I hand built and programed.
