Assessing the resilience of Maui's coral reefs to support reef restoration

1) Kahului (harbor area); 2) Ma’alaea (harbor area); 3) Lahaina (runoff issues); 4) Kihei (urban watersheds); 5) Honolua Bay (reference site). Each site will be assessed and monitored by 2 divers/snorkelers with transects, georeferenced photo-quadrats, and photomosaics. Baseline reef surveys will extend throughout the shallow, coastal waters (0 to 5m depth).
