Stands, stands, and more stands!!!

As with all projects, sometimes things just don't work out. Our original stand just was not doing the trick any more so we decided to order a new one! Yay! However, the project must go on so, for a few day we decided to try holding the Ipad at the same level the stand was previous at along with resting the Ipad on the chair. We received mixed results from the gorillas, but still many encouraging looks! The gorillas are still holding their interest!

About This Project

An animals' "umwelt" is the way in which they perceive the world. With the use of eye-tracking technology, we will present the gorillas with different images to explore the ways in which gorillas see and respond to their world. The overarching goal of this project is to determine visual processing patterns in the gorillas at the Buffalo Zoo and expand our understanding of how they see their world. In other words, this study aims to further our current understanding of the “gorilla umwelt.”
