Here we go!

It's time to start a dissertation!

Thank you everyone for donating. The range of supporters is wonderful - family (including relatives who mailed me checks, old-school style), friends from across the country to those right in my lab, fellow researchers who found my ideas compelling, and even Experiment staffers!

I am going to get right to work collecting data, be on the lookout for future lab notes talking about MTurk and intriguing (but methodologically sound) data peeks.

Thank you and Thank you!

About This Project

Sick or injured patients depend upon healthcare providers to heal what ails them. But what if the very act of seeking healthcare was harmful? Healthcare institutions are often trusted to abide by the Hippocratic oath to "First, do no harm." In most cases, compassionate care allays concerns and speeds recovery. I seek to understand how the violation of this trust - institutional betrayal - may impact health and health-related behavior.
Blast off!
