Blake Haney- I am a general science major with a passion for marine species, particularly whales. Whales have intrigued me from a young age and ever since I have hoped to study them during my time at UO. I also am interested in creating a more sustainable earth in any way possible. This research provides me an outlet and an opportunity to further improve the environment. I have experiences traveling abroad to different countries around the world. I have a wide range of scientific backgrounds in chemistry, physics, and biology. Most recently my marine biology course has prepared me to conduct a well-hypothesized scientific experiment. My dedication and hard work shown in sport and in the classroom makes me a reliable scientist to pursue this study.
