About
My name is Clara MarĂa Wiederkehr Bruno, I am a veterinary surgeon graduated from the Complutense University of Madrid in 2019. I am currently studying a Master's degree in Conservation Medicine at the University of Edinburgh, for which I have to carry out a conservation project for my final year and it is for which I want to carry out this research. I have always been passionate about and focused my career on wildlife, with a special affinity for penguins. I currently live in Costa Rica, working in a veterinary hospital with wild animals and dogs and cats. However, it has been thanks to the master's degree and the last few years that I have developed a keen interest in conservation, broadening my focus from wildlife medicine to the conservation of their ecosystem and their relationship with domestic animals and humans. It is for this reason that I believe it is essential to research and learn more about the status of these animals, in order to be able to propose solutions and preventive measures to the destruction of their habitats.
