I've always been fascinated by the mind. That curiosity led me from medicine to psychiatry, where I thought I had seen it all. Then came my residency.
That's when I encountered what some still call the mysterious BPD— Borderline Personality Disorder. I was stunned.
Stunned by how common it was.
Stunned by how severe the suffering could be.
And frankly, stunned by how little attention it received.
Since then, I've crossed paths with extraordinary people living with BPD — people facing intense emotional pain, and yet showing strength, humour, and resilience.
Some managed to change their lives. Others didn't survive.
I carry their stories with me — their energy, their trauma, their determination.
Things are changing, slowly.
But we still have so much to do.
That's why we're building this peer-led project (and many others) — not just for people with BPD, but with them.
Because real change doesn't come from experts alone.
It comes from the community.
And I believe, truly, that together, we can change the world.
