Returning to university was a journey, and it has been rewarding beyond my greatest hopes. I am literally doing my dream job, solving real-world problems by applying synthetic biology. I have more laboratory experience now than almost any contemporary undergraduate, with more laboratory space than most Masters students and I am grateful for the opportunity I have been afforded.
