pittiGEM2017

The 2017 Pittsburgh iGEM team is an inter-disciplinary comprises a team ranging from chemist, immunologist, bioengineers, microbiologist, and molecular biologists. In line with the vision of the iGEM Foundation, our project focuses on combining biology and engineering and re-designing natural biological systems for useful purposes. As a team that come with both engineering and biology backgrounds, we seek to study and build these new systems that really enhance our own understanding of synthetic biology but also reach out to the community about what synthetic biology is and what it can offer.
