I am an undergraduate student majoring in Biology. I am currently taking a Marine Biology class that focuses on the biodiversity of the marine ecosystem. I am very interested in using a variety of field methods and statistical modeling techniques to investigate the impacts of certain species on the biodiversity of an ecosystem. My current research evaluates how Chinese mitten crabs change the biodiversity of the U.S. west coast and the possible strategies we can employ to manage the populations of the mitten crabs and minimize the negative impacts they have on the local ecosystem.
