Can we analyze DNA from fossil corals?

I absolutely love genetics. My dream career was to be a geneticist and work on the human genome project or work on cloning, (this was 1999). I personally am a be liver in creation but this project has great potential to learn more of coral and help save the reefs. You have my backing and I'm excited to see the results! I really hope you're able to recequence the fossil DNA and that all goes well for you!
