Methods

Summary

We have acquired MRI scans at different stages of development in humans, which we use to compare the timing of proliferation between humans, macaques, and mice. We also gathered data on the timing of various events in the cortex. These data allow us to identify what aspects of brain development are especially long or early in humans.

Challenges

The work is largely complete. As such, we anticipate no difficulties publishing our findings.

Pre Analysis Plan

We use our translating time dataset to find equivalent maturational ages between species and identify whether the timing of neurogenesis across various brain regions is especially late in humans considering the timing of other events.
