Just submitted a proposal for collaborative research with the Israeli Defense Force,

Department of Behavioral Sciences (IDF)

After our June discussions with Israeli military scientists and further deliberations and work, we submitted a joint proposal to the leadership of The Behavioral Sciences Department and the Behavioral Sciences Center ( MADA ) of the IDF. The proposal, if approved, will lead to collaborative research about Israeli military connected adolescents and their distance communication with their military parents. The research will utilize the surveys that were translated to Hebrew thanks to your support.

About This Project

Separations between parents and adolescents challenge adolescents' optimal functioning. Using survey methodology and quantitative analyses, we will describe the quantity and quality of communication between Israeli military parents and their adolescents when the parents are routinely away from home. We will also describe the benefits of long distance communication for the adolescents' functioning. Findings will inform programs promoting family communication.

Blast off!
