Collaborative visit to Australian Institute of Marine Science coming up……

Lab Note #9
Sep 12, 2016

Cat and I are going to visit our collaborators at the Australian Institute of Marine Science (AIMS) and James Cook University (JCU) in Townsville, Queensland, for 22 days of AEFW experiments.

We will arrive from Texas and Cambridge (UK) respectively on the 16th September and stay until the 11th October.

Jonathan Barton (PhD student from JCU and AIMS) is maintaining large cultures of AEFW in the sea simulator facility at AIMS (http://www.aims.gov.au/seasim) and our plans for the visit are to:

1) collect all the remaining life cycle data and design a quarantine protocol,

2) brainstorm AEFW control studies and discuss future collaborations.

We will keep you up-dated on all the experiments as they happen!
