I am an undergraduate student majoring in Biology. I am interested in environmental studies and ecology. I am currently taking a Marine Biology course that focuses on the Earth’s biosphere and all the diversity of microbial, algal, and animal life forms that are apart of it. This course examines the biology of the organisms as well as the biotic and abiotic factors they face. I am very interested in everything I have learned thus far and hope this class will help me expand my research in the future. My current research involves Chinese mitten crabs and the impact these invasive species have on the biodiversity around them. Through my research I hope to make a change and give others a better understanding of the invasive species problem.
