I am the 🪑 of the Dept Of Kinesiology at Mary Baldwin University, overseeing both the exercise and science majors. I am a lifelong endurance athlete, starting as a speed skater early on, and then moving to competitive road cycling for nearly 20 years. After starting my PhD, I began trail running and mountain biking before taking up Xterra triathlon, which culminated in a USAT age-group National Championship in 2018. As an exercise physiologist I have worked with both clinical and healthy populations, as well as beginner to professional athletes. My research interests are broad, but revolve around optimizing human performance.Specialties: Health, Fitness, Conditioning, & Nutrition. Expertise in elite performance, weight loss and goal achievement. Skilled in management & development of grassroots advocacy.
