Hi Tom, I'm definitely disappointed that we didn't get funded. I tried really hard to get the project out there, and I do think that it's an important project that is interesting to many people. Unfortunately it seems like the model here is primarily to garner funding from friends and family. And while I really appreciate the support from my friends and family, I don't believe that the burden of funding my science should fall on just them. I posted the project on a couple different reddit sites, on twitter, my Facebook (many people posted on their Facebook accounts on my behalf too), I emailed journalists and obesity bloggers. I posted two lab notes that each got over 700 views. But this didn't result in any additional support. So, if you post a project I wish you luck! Christine
