About
I am a microbiologist currently working as an ORISE Postdoctoral Fellow at the CDC studying emergent fungal pathogens. I got my Ph.D. from Oregon State University where I studied the evolution of microbial social behaviors. As an undergraduate, I worked in an applied microbiology lab and characterized antifungal properties of bacteria. I also was a founding member of Georgia State's first iGEM undergraduate synthetic biology team. In addition to microbiology, I have also been involved with both tropical entomology and invasive species research.
