Travis Neuman- I am a senior majoring in biology. As a native of the Pacific Northwest, the outdoors has been my home since day one. I’ve always had an interest as deep as the Marianas Trench in regards to all whale species. The ocean has inspired many of the decisions in my life, and has been a source of wonder and curiosity. With climate change becoming an increasing issue for us as well as many species, I aim to provide accurate research on how climate change is affecting marine mammals. The beluga whale is one such species that is suffering from a change in their environment, which has inspired me to conduct this experiment.
