You are the second person to mention using a scanner. I'll have to look in to that. I guess I would just need to replace the light source with blue light LEDs of the right wavelength, add a pre filter (maybe just blue acrylic sheet?),and a post filter (amber acrylic?). The gels have some height to them--about 0.5cm maybe--so the lid might have to be modified to avoid crushing them, but it still needs to block out any external light.
