Depends on where you are at and if queens can be raised by the bees. In california where I am, I have had swarms in October survive thanks to climate change.

I responded earlier, but it seems not to have taken... sorry about that! I will be looking at number of frames of bees coming out of winter. In addition late season splits will also be tracked.

Frames of bees coming out of winter as determined by 2 independant commercial beekeepers. Norma prevalence will also be scored throughout the experiment.
