Mr. Allen B. Salmasi is the Founder and CEO of Nextwave Broadband, Inc., a subsidiary of Nextwave Wireless Inc. Mr. Salmasi founded Omninet Corp. in 1984. Since 1988, he served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Omninet. At Qualcomm and Omninet, Mr. Salmasi made significant contributions to the conception and development of Mobile Satellite Systems (MSS) and digital cellular and Personal Communications Service (PCS) systems. From 1979 to 1984, Mr. Salmasi worked at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and Jet Propulsion Laboratory, where he served various technical and management positions involved in the development of NASA's Land Mobile Satellite Service program. Mr. Salmasi is a Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), Sigma Xi, Eta Kappa Nu, Phi Eta Sigma and is listed in "Who's Who in U.S. Executives" and "Who's Who Worldwide." Mr. Salmasi holds two B.S. degrees (with Honors) in Electrical Engineering and Management Economics from Purdue University in 1977. He holds a M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University in 1979 and Applied Mathematics from the University of Southern California in 1983, respectively. He completed doctoral course work at the University of Southern California for his Ph.D degree in Electrical Engineering.
