I am an ecological entomologist interested in studying insect-plant and insect-plant-pathogen interactions. In particular, i study environmental variables that can help to predict pest outbreaks, and those that can influence pathogen transmission, subsequently disease spread, by insect vectors. A clear understanding of ecological interactions in our agroecosystem would help us to develop integrated pest management practices that are sustainable and relatively more environmentally friendly.
