In Tall el Hammam, buildings were knocked down from the SW, I think Pr. Collins said; some bricks seemed fired on one side; there is a layer of ash corresponding to the end of MBA, which is when the site went desert; and there are pieces of unexplained "trinitite" scattered in that layer. Thus, an air burst makes sense indeed. it is unprobable, but possible. And it would explain the legend of Sodom (which would be fact). So it is a good idea to go and prove — or disprove, whatever the result— that possibility.
