Gwendolyn Matsukawa

Before joining this research project, I've always had a great interest in plant biology. The venus flytrap, amongst other carnivorous plants, is a truly peculiar phenomenon of an organism, that is not commonly touched upon in school or in the scientific community generally. Upon entering the research course that is offered at my high school, joining a project like this was right up my alley. Analyzing and discovering new information about a fascinating organism, that has yet to be experimented with in the way that we have been working towards, has been an amazing experience.
