I have been studying glaucoma for over 20 years and have a Masters degree in Veterinary Science. My graduate work focused on a possible association between the intraocular pressure (IOP) -lowering medications used to treat glaucoma and decreased flow of aqueous humor from the eye (which can actually lead to an increase in IOP and worsening of the disease). I have a Master's Certificate in Project Management and have overseen the planning and successful implementation of a number of studies. More recently, I have been involved in studying a congenital form of feline glaucoma, which is caused by a genetic mutation similar to one that affects humans. I am passionate about the treatment of glaucoma in particular, as I have closely witnessed the devastating impact it can have on quality of life.
