I am a fourth year biomolecular engineering major with a bioinformatics minor at UCSC. Initially, my primary role in iGEM was project design, idea development and conducting background research. Once our plan was established, I worked on plasmid construction and primer design. I am also on the yeast mediated cloning team. Aside from iGEM, I enjoy swimming, bodybuilding and cooking. I have a profound interest in bioenergy and believe it will be the future for energy production and bioremediation. Accordingly, I hope to pursue my passion and do whatever it takes to study microbial fuel cells after I leave college.
