Jane Law is an Associate Professor in the School of Public Health and Health Systems, jointly appointed to the School of Planning, at the University of Waterloo. She is a professional member of the Geomatics Division of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors in the United Kingdom (UK). She specializes in health geomatics, geographic information systems, spatial statistical analysis, and disease mapping. Dr. Law has conducted research involving longitudinal studies such as the European Prospective Investigation into Cancer and Nutrition (University of Cambridge Medical Research Council Biostatistics Unit) and the National Longitudinal Survey of Children and Youth (Canadian Research Institute for Social Policy). She has held a Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada discovery grant on spatial statistical analysis since 2009, and she has experience in applied spatial and spatio-temporal analyses of public health data in collaboration with government bodies in the U.K., China, and Canada.
