I started studying biology about six years ago. It took me extra and unexpected paths to end up in conservation. My first experiences I made in Angola, collecting data for my BA. I was living in the middle of nowhere, observing birds and camping under very primitive conditions. It was awesome. Then, before starting my masters, I applied for a volunteering position in Central African Republic, to support WWF with their Primate Habituation Program (PHP) for one year. I learned the language, I discovered the forest, learned to love Gorillas and how great applied conservation is. I will now return collect the data for my MA to contribute to the amazing conservational effort done in Dzanga Sangha Protected Areas.
