I'm a science literate private citizen interested in helping out the scientific community. My primary interests are in native plant and animal species. I'm a proponent and practitioner of native plant landscaping.
I'm curious about a couple of things.
I've assumed this is unique research. This is really surprising to me, as I'd've thought the connection between butterflies and neonicotinoids would've already been studied(?).
The explanation of the experiment mentions usage of neonicotinoids as a seed treatment. There is no mention of neonicotinoids used in a spray application where overspray and drift become a problem. Are neonicotinoids only used as seed treatments?
