About
I study fluid dynamics in the environment, and am really excited by the behavior of small things in large flows. Some projects in our lab focus on the fate and transport of microplastics in the ocean and how plankton swim in turbulence. We use laboratory experiments, often in a wave tank or a flume, and mathematical models to make sense of the natural world and inform engineering solutions.
