Hello! I am a PhD candidate in sociology at the University of South Carolina. My academic interests include identity, political sociology, social networks, emotions, and research methods. For my dissertation, I am studying how self-evaluations and social network composition influence political bias.
I am also working on a project funded by the Army Research Institute that investigates different methodologies for studying cultural scripts. I have also published work using content-analysis and thematic-analysis techniques, which have been published in Race, Gender, and Class and the Journal of Religion & Society. Additionally, I have published research on quantitative methodology, which can be found in The Quantitative Methods for Psychology and Human Brain Mapping.
After graduation, I hope to become a college professor where he can continue doing research, teach social science, and be involved with science outreach projects.
