With the discovery of ROS-mediated signaling I was fascinated by the several redox-sensitive cellular factors and by the dissection of processes related to cell cycle regulation, apoptosis and autophagy. More recently I’m working in the field of redox-mediated cell signaling downstream of ROS and NOS-mediated processes characterizing aging and age-associated diseases as well as on the action of food components in the redox process of the cell.
