Cool - those data look really strong. Did you try ice - on roots or somewhere?? Given that it may be the rate-of-cooling that matters?! For how long does one aphid typically continue to provide data? I wonder if to those depolarizations propagate away from the phloem?! .. the salt - is it the effect due to sodium or the osmolarity?
