NURS FPX 4060 Assessment 1 - Health Promotion

Health promotion is the process of planning and promoting healthy behaviors. It involves education and resources. Your task is to develop a health promotion plan for your chosen community health concern and present it via educational outreach. The plan must address critical factors such as NURS FPX 4060 Assessment 1 Health Promotion Plan, teaching strategies, cultural sensitivity, and soliciting input from the audience. As a community health nurse, you have the ability to address a variety of health concerns within your community. This assessment will challenge you to apply the knowledge and skills you have gained from your previous assessments.

Develop a health promotion plan that is about 2-3 pages in length and addresses your chosen community health concern. Your health concern may be related to sudden infant death syndrome, immunization, adolescent tobacco use (includes all: vaping e-cigarettes, hookah, chewing tobacco, and smoking), or other issues affecting the population. Enlist the participation of a selected individual or group from your community in an educational session about your health concern and associated health improvement strategies. You will also collaborate with NURS FPX 4020 Assessment 1 in setting goals for the session, evaluating session outcomes, and suggesting possible revisions to improve future sessions.
