18 years ago I began to study several aspects of bacterial physiology and currently I am working in the characterization of resistance mechanisms against virulence inhibitors and new antimicrobials using the opportunistic pathogen Pseudomonas aeruginosa as my primary working model, in addition I am interested in the design and implementation of new strategies to fight this and other recalcitrant multi drug resistance bacterial pathogens.
