I'm the Director of Research Informatics at Roche NimbleGen. I have an avid interest in DIY projects, whether it be home remodeling or genomics. I love the idea that molecular biology and genomics have progressed to the point that crowd-funding can be used to ask questions and provide answers to small problems that are probably too small in scope for research grants, yet interesting enough that they should be looked at.
