Uttar Pradesh is the most populous state in India with a strong education system and infrastructure. There are over 1500 B.Ed colleges in Uttar Pradesh recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). These colleges offer B.Ed or Bachelor of Education program which prepares students to become teachers for high school or higher secondary levels.
