Atmospheric sciences affect and address a huge range of research topics and concerns. From climate change to economics, huge datasets to prediction modeling, weather is all around us.
Tornadoes are violent rotating winds that kill people and destroy property. My recent work shows that tornado...
Many cities have proposed greening initiatives to offset local global warming, but these are difficult to...
We are seeking proposals from atmospheric science, meteorology, and climate change researchers. Field work, software, data analyses, modeling, sampling, visualizations, human-environment interactions, interdisciplinary work -- it all fits if it's related to the atmosphere. Please get in touch with our team if you're interested, but unsure about whether your idea would work as an Experiment campaign for this challenge.
We will select roughly 15 projects to join the Weather Challenge Grant Program. Each project will run as an individual crowdfunding campaign. The projects will all launch on the same day for 30 days.
In the 3rd week the Experiment project that has the most backers will receive an additional $1,000 grant. The two runner up projects will receive $250 each.
Any project working on weather, atmospheric science, climate change, or a related aspect is invited to participate -- please get in touch if you aren't sure about your idea, by emailing us at support@experiment.com. Interdisciplinary projects are more than welcome! Researchers must be based out of institutions or organizations in the US, UK, Australia, or Canada.
