Beating the Stigma of Substance Use Disorder

1/1/2018: Recruit six CBPR Team Members (persons with lived experience in the community). 

1/15/2018: Convene first of ten CBPR team meetings to reach consensus on the problem of stigma for SUD, review HOP to address the stigma of SUD, and plan for qualitative research with focus groups

3/1/2018: Conduct focus groups with stakeholders in the community and collect transcripts

5/1/2018: Complete qualitative coding of focus groups through thematic analysis and obtain feedback from CBPR team

6/1/2018: CBPR team will meet to adapt HOP-SUD using group feedback

9/15/2018: Conduct focus groups for feedback on HOP-SUD

11/15/2018: Draft final revision of HOP-SUD and 

12/15/2018: Disseminate untested draft

12/31/2018: Complete NIH Grant proposal to seek support for RCT of HOP-SUD
