Summary

Time-frequency methods will be used to extract the cycles embedded in the data for the different growth components used in the study.  

Once the cycles have been extracted for the US data, then causal connectivity will be used to assess the cylical interactions between the variables concerned.

Challenges

The project challenges are likely to focus on identifying the cyclical features of the series and sequencing these cyclical features so as to determine and properly identify causal linkages.
