You will be pleased to know that my reporting requirements are not as stringent as the NIH's, but your lay audience in the warming world will love hearing how they do it.

John, All life is stunningly complex and beautiful from the outside and from the inside (which we cannot see directly). Lichens are less glamorous than many other organisms but no less beautiful. Their claim to fame is that they result from the symbiosis of two very different organisms, an alga and a fungus, which found a common biochemical language and have lived "happily" ever after.

What can you tell the ordinary person about how they can care for lichens and why they should care.

Dear Daniele, yes, I am this Rémy. Also very interested in lichens, I think that participative funding is a good way to interest people in science and to help prospective subjects/researchers ! Best wishes, Rémy
