Challenges

The challenges we can face are the cultivation method and the isolation of the bacteria/fungi colonies. We might face difficulties in obtaining enough colonies and isolates for the genetic material extractions. To overcome these problems we can only take as many samples as possible and maybe also to repeat more than twice the sampling episodes.

Pre Analysis Plan

The hypotheses of this research is that bats can spread pathogenic microorganisms that can be a threat to tourists in show caves. The sequences we will confirm or contradict this assumption and results can be published in a scientific journal with a high impact factor in both cases. Results will be also presented at international scientific conferences
