Hi Adrian, have you engaged with the farmers in central coast to let them know that you are working on this project?

A couple of the farmers I've talked to are very interested in my results because lygus is always a big problem for them, and they are hard to control with organic-certified sprays, so they are always interested in new management techniques.

Yes, I've spoken with several who are interested in this work, and am currently surveying potential farms to do my sampling. If you know any farmers who might be interested, please let me know.

What are some of the natural enemies of the Lygus bug?

  • Adrian Lu
    Adrian LuResearcher
Hi Christina, thanks for your support! Some natural enemies are big-eyed bugs, minute pirate bugs, Anaphes iole (an egg parasitoid), Peristenus relictus (a nymph parasitoid), and various spiders.
