Survey and Interview Protocols for Hmong American College Students

The first step will be to develop the survey that we will use to investigate facets of college life. A recently published measure examines ethnic and racial socialization practices specifically for Asian American families. We would like to use this measure and examine how it works with Hmong college students.

As part of our outcome measures we would like to include a measure of general well-being. We also  need to improve our measure of belonging.

The next step will be to collect the survey data and to set up the interviews. An interview protocol has been developed that asks the participants about their families (ethnic and racial socialization) as well as about whether they experience a sense of belonging at this campus.

The third step will be to organize the data and to analyze it.
