Planning!

Soooo many thanks to those who funded this project. We've spent the last 4 months exploring additional funding through our partnering school districts, but due to massive state level education cuts and an uncertain future, the money they planned to use to expand the implementation of WoWW needed to be reallocated to keep the schools afloat. Thus, without the donations of our backers for this campaign, we would not be able to bring WoWW to the kids and teacher who need it now more than ever. The plan right now is to implement WoWW in a full teaching team at a 9th grade school and have another teaching team serve as the control in the fall. We will be pursuing additional funding source to be able to provide WoWW to the fall control group in the spring. We hope WoWW will bring some relief and positive vibes to students and teachers alike and that this pilot will help us secure larger funding to increase services for our partner schools.

About This Project

The Working on What Works (WoWW) program uses classroom coaches to highlight what is going well, foster collaborative relationships between teachers and students, and help the class set goals towards a positive classroom environment. We plan to do the first quasi-experimental study evaluating the impact of WoWW on adolescent emotional and behavioral engagement, teacher efficacy, and the parent-teacher relationship in a Kansas high school serving a highly diverse and military connected community.
